Blepharoplasty Seattle

Published on March 28, 2018

Blepharoplasty, also known as an Eyelid Lift, is performed to create a more youthful and well-rested appearance around the eyes. They say the eyes are the windows to our souls–and it’s certainly true that they play a large part in our communication with others, so it can be frustrating and discouraging when our eyes are portraying an image that is more tired, sad, or worn-out than we feel. The upper and lower eyelids can show signs of aging such as sagging, creases, puffiness, wrinkles, and lines. The eyelid lift can be performed on both the upper and lower eyelids to remove excess sagging skin and fatty tissue while leaving no visible scars.

The blepharoplasty procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation or under general anesthesia and typically takes between 45 minutes and 2 hours to complete. Recovery can vary from person to person, but typically most people can return to work after 2 days, while more strenuous activity should be avoided for at least 2 weeks.
