Abdominoplasty Seattle

Published on April 23, 2018

The Abdominoplasty, or Tummy Tuck procedure, is performed to improve many issues people have with their mid-section appearance. The abdomionplasty is performed under either general anesthesia or intravenous sedation. Next, the incision is made horizontally along the lower abdomen from hip to hip. The incision does leave a permanent scar, though underwear and clothes often easily hide it. After the incision is made (sometimes a second incision around the bellybutton may be necessary in the removal of excess skin—in these cases, a new belly button opening is created) the abdominal muscles may be tightened/repaired and excess skin is removed. Finally, the incision is closed with sutures and bandaged.
